On Tuesday night, Channel 4 ran a programme called "Damned Designs" about people who had built homes / extended their homes, without the correct planning permission.
Some had just installed some external sculptures (such as a plastic shark through the roof of a house in Oxfordshire) but others had gone the whole 9 yards, building entire houses in secret.
Now, while we appreciate that the planning permission process can be VERY frustrating, we wouldn't advise anyone to abandon it completely to get their project built!
